Powers Outdoors, LLC is a combination of my ultimate love of getting outside, learning how to adventure safely and bravely, and supporting others in doing the same. As a mixed race Black Woman who is an outdoor recreation educator, this journey has not always been a smooth ride, but then again, I’ve always preferred the pitted out dirt roads anyhow. I’m excited to begin this journey and center Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and underserved and marginalized youth in my work.
